If you're getting spam or unwanted calls and texts, you can block the number directly from the conversation. Once blocked, that number won't be able to ring you or trigger text notifications.
How to block a number
Desktop
Open the conversation with the number you want to block
Click the actions menu on the top right
Select "Block number"
Mobile
Open the conversation with the number you want to block
Tap the actions menu on the top right
Select "Block"
Tip: On the web, you can press ! as a keyboard shortcut to quickly block a number while viewing a conversation.
What happens when you block a number
Once you block a number, they won't be able to ring you or send you text notifications. Any incoming calls or messages from that number will be silently ignored.
How to unblock a number?
If you actually do want to receive messages and calls from the number. You can simply 'unblock' them to bring them back. The unblock action is in the same place as the block action found in the screenshots above.
How can I see all blocked numbers?
You can view your full list of blocked numbers in your Blocked numbers settings on both the web and mobile app. From that page, you can also unblock numbers with a simple undo action.
