What does the HubSpot integration do?
Contacts sync from HubSpot into CurrentClient every morning, filtered by any contact properties you choose, and calls and texts are written back to the contact as notes. From inside CurrentClient you can also add a note to a HubSpot contact and create new contacts in HubSpot.
Read connect your CRM first for how syncing works. This guide covers the HubSpot specifics.
How do I connect HubSpot?
The account owner does this once, in the web app. You'll need your HubSpot account ID, the number shown in the top right of HubSpot next to your account name.
Step 1. Open CRM sync
Go to Settings, then CRM sync, open Choose a CRM, and pick HubSpot.
Step 2. Enter your account ID
Type it under Account Id. There's a link to HubSpot's guide on finding it if you're not sure.
Step 3. Sign in to HubSpot
Click Connect. You'll sign in to HubSpot, approve the connection, and come back to CurrentClient.
Step 4. Choose which contacts to sync
The HubSpot Settings window opens right away. Search for a contact property, add it, and pick the values a contact must have to sync. Leave it empty to sync everyone. Close the window when you're done and the connection is live.
With HubSpot, everyone's activity syncs through this one connection, so your teammates are set as soon as you've connected.
What syncs?
Contacts that match your filters. For example, only contacts whose Lifecycle stage is Customer. Change the filters any time with Edit Filters on the CRM sync page.
Custom fields. Click Setup custom fields on the CRM sync page and search HubSpot's contact properties to bring more of them across.
Activity back to HubSpot. Calls and daily text summaries go on the contact as notes, per your Sync Options.
On a contact in CurrentClient you can read their HubSpot notes, add a note from a call or a text with Add CRM Note, and create a new HubSpot contact when you save someone. Quick Sync can also write a phone number back to HubSpot.
What if it stops syncing?
When you see Action needed at the top of the app, open the CRM sync page and click Relink connection to sign in to HubSpot again.
