What does the Slant integration do?
Contacts sync from Slant into CurrentClient every morning, and Slant pulls your calls and texts from CurrentClient into the household record on its side. From inside CurrentClient you can read and add Slant notes and tasks, and create contacts in Slant.
Read connect your CRM first for how syncing works. This guide covers the Slant specifics, and there's one step on the Slant side that's easy to miss.
How do I connect Slant?
The connection has two halves. The first brings contacts into CurrentClient. The second lets Slant pull your activity.
Step 1. Connect Slant in CurrentClient
The account owner goes to Settings, then CRM sync, opens Choose a CRM, picks Slant, and clicks Connect. Sign in to Slant, approve, and you're back in CurrentClient.
Step 2. Connect CurrentClient in Slant
Open your Slant settings, go to the phone section, and connect CurrentClient there. The CRM sync page has a Connect CurrentClient in Slant button that takes you to the right spot. Once this is done, Slant starts pulling your texts and calls on its own.
Step 3. Teammates connect their own login
Everyone else goes to Settings, then CRM and connects their Slant login, so activity is recorded under their name.
What syncs?
Contacts, by book. To sync only some of your books, click Edit Filters on the CRM sync page and turn on Only sync contacts in specific books.
Activity into Slant. Slant does this itself once step 2 above is done, so you won't see the usual push options in CurrentClient. The CRM sync page explains this in place of them.
On a contact in CurrentClient you can read their Slant notes and tasks, add a note or a task, and create a new Slant contact. Open in Slant takes you to the household. Quick Sync can write a phone number back to Slant.
What if it stops syncing?
When you see Action needed at the top of the app, open the CRM sync page and click Relink connection to sign in to Slant again.
