Quick Sync

Pull one contact from your CRM into CurrentClient right now, without waiting for the morning sync

Written by Dustin Belliston

What is Quick Sync?

Quick Sync searches your CRM by name and pulls one person into CurrentClient on the spot. It's for the moment a client calls from a number you don't have yet, or you've just added someone to the CRM and want to text them today rather than after tomorrow morning's sync.

It needs your CRM connected and sync turned on.

How do I use it on the web?

Step 1. Open Quick Sync

Click Quick Sync in the left sidebar. You can also open the command palette and choose Quick sync from CRM.

Step 2. Search

Type the contact's name and pick them from the results. View opens their record in your CRM if you want to double check.

Step 3. Sync

Click Sync. The contact appears in CurrentClient within a few minutes with their details from the CRM.

You'll also find Quick sync from CRM wherever an unknown number shows up: in the conversation sidebar when you're texting someone who isn't a contact yet, and on a call from an unknown number. Syncing from there attaches the contact to that conversation as well.

What if the number isn't in the CRM?

If you've got a conversation going with a number that isn't on the contact's CRM record, Quick Sync offers to fix that:

  • Add phone & sync writes the number to their CRM record, then syncs them.

  • Update phone & sync replaces the number on their CRM record. You'll be asked to confirm, and the message shows both the old and the new number.

Writing phone numbers back works with Wealthbox, Redtail, HubSpot, and Slant.

How do I use it on the mobile app?

  • On the dashboard, tap Quick Sync from CRM, search by name, and tap the contact.

  • In a conversation with an unknown number, open the participant and choose the CRM option. The app searches your CRM by phone number and attaches any match.

Is this different from Sync now?

Yes. Quick Sync is one person. Sync now on the CRM sync page pulls everyone and can run once a day. And for a contact who's already in CurrentClient but changed in the CRM, open them and click Run fresh sync.
