Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your clients.
CurrentClient runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT can look up your conversations, calls and contacts, and take a few actions, on your behalf.
- Server URL
https://mcp.api.currentclient.com/mcp
Connect your assistant
Pick your client and follow the steps. Your client opens a CurrentClient sign-in page; sign in and approve the connection.
- 1
Open Settings > Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- 2
Paste the MCP server URL and save.
- 3
Click Connect and sign in with your CurrentClient login.
- 1
Ask us for the OAuth client id for your environment. Claude Code needs a pre-registered client id and a fixed callback port. Email sales@currentclient.com.
- 2
Run the command below in your terminal, with your client id in place of <MCP_CLIENT_ID>.
- 3
Type /mcp inside Claude Code, pick currentclient, and sign in. Use callback port 8080; other loopback ports are not registered.
claude mcp add --transport http \
--client-id <MCP_CLIENT_ID> --callback-port 8080 \
currentclient https://mcp.api.currentclient.com/mcpReplace <MCP_CLIENT_ID> before you run it.

Your assistant works as you
You sign in with your own CurrentClient login. Every call runs with your access.
- 1
Your assistant opens sign-in
Your client opens a CurrentClient sign-in page in the browser.
- 2
You approve the connection
Sign in with your own CurrentClient login and approve.
- 3
It runs as you
The server passes your token straight through to the API. The assistant can do only what your login can do, and gets no access of its own.
Review texts before you approve them
send_message sends a real text message to a real customer, and it cannot be unsent; schedule_message sends one later unless you cancel it. Review what the assistant is about to send before you approve it, and keep tool-approval prompts turned on in your client.
Things to ask
Plain questions work. Your assistant picks the tools; you see each one it calls. Names here are illustrative.
